This memorial fund was created in loving memory of Neil Silkman, who passed away on January 2, 2025. It honors his legacy of community involvement and passion for sports. Neil was a devoted husband to Margaret and a loving father to their four daughters, Carrie, Erin, Megan, and Bonnie. He was also a cherished grandfather to six grandchildren, whom he enthusiastically supported at various sporting events and activities. ​

Neil's dedication to coaching girls' basketball and his love for pickleball highlighted his commitment to fostering athleticism and teamwork within the community. All donations will be directed to the Farmington Recreation Center, a hub for local sports and community events to celebrate his life and continue his support for recreational activities.

Additionally, contributions will support the Dana-Farber Cancer Institute and the Jimmy Fund, an official charity of the Boston Red Sox (Neil's Favorite Team), to help save lives and reduce the burden of cancer for patients and families worldwide.
