Neil E. Bateman Veterans Memorial Park

My brother, Neil E. Bateman was killed in VietNam in 1967, receiving the Bronze Star, Silver Star, and Purple Heart while saving many lives in his platoon. Our local town does not currently have a Veterans Park for honoring Veterans. The town of Cheektowaga has recently approved and initiated plans to convert a local park into a Veterans park, to honor all Veterans, and will be renaming the park "Neil E. Bateman Veterans Memorial Park". The funds raised through this GoFundMe effort will help to offset the costs of this worthwhile and long overdue project, in the form of gardens, benches, and stone monuments. Neil and other Veterans from our community and all communities deserve a memorial park commemorating the sacrifice they gave for our freedom; a place to honor and reflect.  Any assistance people can contribute to this heartfelt project would be greatly appreciated!
