Hurricane Ida has severely impacted several (5 houses) of our neighbors in the Brookside Avenue neighborhood of Livingston, NJ. Items such as hot water heaters, washers and dryers, baby furniture, toys, clothing for children, furniture, computes, cars, TVs and fencing (to name a few) have all been damaged beyond repair. The items cannot be salvaged as they are covered in sewage. To add insult to inquiry, these homes are not in the flood zone and did not have flood insurance. As a good neighbor and samaritan, it’s only right that we come together as a community to provide disaster relief! We've set a goal of $20K to help those families with these expenses. Elena Lombardi and I are both residents of the neighborhood and were lucky enough not to get flooded. The funds will go directly to the 5 families impacted by the storm.
