We are Emma Hicks and Shane Saddison-Bradford, and we are Camp Counselors at Neighborhood House Community Center. We are raising money to make our free cooking enrichment camp possible. We have less than three weeks to raise $5000 dollars so we can buy the necessary cooking equipment and food to give our kids the most impactful, high quality program possible.

Madison Community Experience is a three week summer enrichment program that centers itself in offering innovative opportunities to youth who typically don't have access to these types of programs. Our camp focuses on building community, self awareness and building on participants’ abilities and teamwork in the kitchen.

Ten local area teens will have the opportunity to meet local food leaders, food system activists and community partners to grow what they know about food, the impact it has on our community all while learning real life skills in the kitchen.

We hope that every participant will walk about from our program with a new identity in the kitchen, tangible skills that they will be able to use to market themselves in the real world, and most importantly - have fun!
