The Georgetown Street Area Neighborhood Association was established on August 6, 1988, to improve the community involvement of Georgetown Street Area residents. And to serve as a valuable tool in maintaining the neighborhood's integrity, value, and safety. To increase the usage of surrounding facilities, provide educational and recreational activities involving the community.

In collaboration with community partners, the Georgetown Street Area Neighborhood Association is hosting several Family Engagement events in Douglass Park starting April 3, 2023.

We ask for your support in helping the neighborhood association raise $15,000 in funds to support the family engagement events. The funds will help Georgetown Street Area Neighborhood Association with annual events Jazz Nights, Movie Nights, Back to School Rally, a Cornhole tournament for youth and adults, and Roller Skate Fest for youth.

Your donation secures families to enjoy a safe and fun environment in Douglass park. With assistance, we can allow local musicians to play on stage for the community, purchase the license for family movies, essentials for school, skates for youth without them, and cornhole boards. We anticipate reaching over 2000 families through these events. It is part of a citywide effort by Georgetown Street Neighborhood Association to help children reach their full potential through family-community partnerships.
