Neighbor Jay's (Gabriel) Journey for MS Treatment
Donation protected
You most likely don’t need me to, BUT let me tell you about my neighbor Jay! He always has a smile and he is the first to offer you a different perspective when you are seeing only the negative. If you are having a bad go of it Jay and his wife Stephanie are there for you and the door is always open.
If you are from Whitman then you may have seen the guy running around town on a pair stilts, that’s Jay. The haunt on Jenkins Ave. well that is him also. Jay and Stephanie put on the best haunt and go above and beyond to give the community a great show. Including a crew of scary over the top characters running the street. They put in so much time and effort to plan it to be bigger and better every year.
Did I mention Jay is a "big bad biker". You know the kind that helps organize fundraisers and bike runs to raise money for people, families, and organizations. You may have seen him riding around town on his motorcycle with his big cow dog Jameson in the side car!
Jay and Stephanie take care of the people around them; I know this from experience. A few weeks ago Jay was diagnosed with MS (multiple sclerosis). This is taking him on a new journey and he is under going a multitude of tests and treatments. It is time for us to give a helping to hand to the couple that always helps others.
Jay has not been able to work for a few weeks now and they are currently working toward a treatment plan for him. When he will return to work is yet to be determined. Until then it would be great for them to have some cushion to help cover the out of pocket medical expenses and relieve some of the financial stress at home. Giving them the ability to concentrate on what is most important right now, Jay’s health.
Once they find a regular treatment, we all know Jay will be back to his unstoppable self. In the mean time let’s do for him what he would do for any one of us….help.
Every little bit will make a difference please consider donating.
