Hello, my name is Jay and a very dear and close friend of mine Butch Brosman is going through some very difficult times and could use your help and support. He is a front man/singer/ukulele player for The Hermits Of Suburbia. But also he is a loving husband and truly an amazing friend to have. He's the type of guy that would do anything to help you out within his own powers and doesn't even think to ask anything in return. He's a real life "stand up guy".
He has suffered from a rare disease known as Transverse Myelitis throughout most of his life and has lived in constant pain and agony for years now, yet he still struggled to push on and continued to fight. But the disease has become more progressive over the years, and recently things have taken a turn for the worse. He's been losing motor function and and is now plagued with muscular spasms which have basically left him bedridden. His wife April called me up the other day and she doesn't know what to do. They took him to the hospital and all they could do was give him sedatives and tell them that he needs to set up an appointment with a neurologist. That's where the need comes in. They don't have a lot of money, your typical starving artist with the added baggage of being debilitated to the point where he can't work. She works to support the two of them but even so they're just getting by living the meager lifestyle. In short she's scraping everything together she can just to pay for the appointment, let alone all the tests and therapies that he will need to be able to move more freely again. That's where I come in and I ask you to please donate whatever you can to please help them in this time of need. The money will go towards getting him the treatment he needs. This may just be a drop in the bucket for what he really needs but it's a start. A start to get him in to see a neurologist, a start to the exams and treatments available. And we're hoping that any money leftover could also be used to possibly get him a motorized wheelchair to give him back at least some assemblance of mobility.
Butch is a good man, and he doesn't deserve all the hardships put onto him. He's too proud to ask for help himself and that is exactly why, with his wife's permission, that I'm making this plea to you folks out there that are able and willing to help my friend, who's more like a brother. He's a kind and honorable man, he's paid his dues, and he deserves a break. We may not ever be able to end his sufferring but please, let's try to do what we can to help him in his time of dire need.
Thank You so much for your time and consideration and please, I hope you find it in your hearts to help.
