Hodi everyone, hello!
My name is Taylor Wittel and I am currently a junior nursing major at George Mason University. Ever since I was a little girl I have admired the hard work nurses do to care for and improve the lives of the people around them. Throughout my life I have found that in order to help those around you, you must first take every opportunity you are presented with. This upcoming summer I have been blessed with the opportunity to serve as an intern with a nonprofit called Neema House located in Arusha, Tanzania.
Neema House is a rescue center for orphaned, abandoned, and at risk babies. This summer I will be able to work under the medical director for two months and will be in charge of taking care of the current 46 at risk children ranging from newborns to four year-olds. However, as a nonprofit, all their monetary resources are spent feeding and housing these children, internships like mine are unpaid. I am starting now to try to raise money needed for airfare, room, and board. Any amount raised beyond what is needed would be donated directly to Neema House to assist in their already impactful and necessary work. I would greatly appreciate any donations possible to help me seize this amazing, once in a lifetime opportunity. Asante, I thank you, in advance for your support in my mission to help change the lives of these Tanzanian angels.
Very Respectfully,
Taylor Wittel
