NEELIA needs OUR help to kick this CANCER’S BUTT!
Donation protected
A couple weeks ago Neelia was diagnosed with Grade 3 Anaplastic AstrocytomaI Brain Cancer. While in Minnesota, she experienced a series of (out of nowhere) seizures. She was rushed to the emergency room where a CT scan and MRI confirmed a large tumor in her frontal lobe. An amazing surgeon went in for a biopsy and ended up performing brain surgery and removed a large part of the tumor. Unfortunately it was discovered through the biopsy that it is an aggressive form of cancer.
Here we are today asking you to all partner with us in support of Neelia and Jayson for the long road they are currently on and have ahead of them. They will endure treatments and to try to keep this cancer at bay while they try to find a cure. As you can imagine the medical bills are already overwhelming even with medical insurance! The bill just arrived for the genetic testing of the tumor ($6000) that’s just the start. Her Chemo and radiation treatments begin in the next few weeks. She will be receiving radiation/chemotherapy at UCLA 5 days per week for 6 weeks. It will obviously be tough for these two amazing souls without our emotional, physical and financial support. Please consider donating any amount you feel comfortable with - EVERY cent helps! Jayson is using up all of his leave and vacation time to be there for Neelia (risk of more seizures is high). Neelia is unable to drive, work or be on the computer for at least 6 months. Please join us in support of these wonderful and most deserving friends!
