These are just two of the many heartbreaking cases we have committed to recently. We cannot continue to say yes to urgent and expensive dogs without your help. We are now averaging $5k per intake. Poor breeding and the rising costs of veterinary care have made it impossible to keep up. Please consider making a donation to Gertie, Creamy and the many other dogs who our currently in our care awaiting expensive life saving procedures.
Gertie was recently dumped on the street in the middle of the night. Her owners likely dumped her due to her IVDD and being paralyzed in the hind end. This is one of the most heart breaking images we have seen to date. IVDD dogs are quickly euthanized both by shelters AND owners unnecessarily, paralysis is not a death sentence and these dogs can continue to live very happy lives. She is now safe with our rescue and receiving physical therapy.
Creamy was brought in through emergency yesterday at only 10 weeks old. When we received the images we knew we had to help her. She will be having surgery today to correct her rectal prolapse. Please keep her in your thoughts.
Please help us continue to say yes to these special and desperate cases
