On Sunday night, July 24th, 2022. My sister Mykal, her fiance Carter and their two beloved furbabies suffered a traumatic event. Were hoping to relieve some of their stress and worry by humbly asking for financial support.

Beginning four years ago, Mykal and Carter adopted their dogs from a northern rescue. Both were neglected strays. Warner, during this time, had had his tail shot off. Mykal and Carter fell in love with them instantly.

Many hours and dollars were put into the training and rehab of George and Warner. From your regular puppy training, sit and stay commands to professional behavioural training, to just learning how to be loved house pets.

Sunday night was just a regular night for their family of four, all cuddling on the couch watching tv. For reasons still unknown to us, Warner grabbed George on his chest and leg without warning. Mykal and Carter were able to have Warner let go but not without injury to both George and Carter.

Carter's hand was treated at the ER; he'll be okay with time. George is still at the vet college with several serious injuries and is expected to have a lengthy stay. Not understanding why or how this happened as George and Warner are the best of friends and playmates. To say Mykal and Carter are heartbroken is an understatement. In hindsight, there have been subtle changes to Warner's behaviour in the past week. Having accidents in the house, bit food aggressive. On top of Georges's vet bill for his injuries, they will now investigate these changes in Warner, questioning possible neurological reasons. There will also be some loss of wages to assist their dogs in their recovery; the future is still unknown.

If we're blessed to meet our financial goal, we will donate any remaining funds to WANAR dog rescue, where Mykal and Carter adopted their Furbabies.
