Needing help for private medical care to beat cancer.

my name is Kyle and I’ve recently just turned 40 years old. I live with my wife Becky (we’ve been together for 21 years) and my 4 amazing children aged 12, 9, 3 and 15 months.

In October 2024 our world was turned upside down when I was diagnosed with Stage 4 bowel cancer. The reason for a stage 4 diagnosis is because it has spread to my Liver.

we started Chemotherapy within a month and the first line of Folfiri had failed within the first 3 months with further growth shown on the Liver Tumors. We moved into a targeted therapy after this called Beacon which sadly also has failed within the first 3 months with further progression on the liver.

The oncology team in Kent I fall under isn’t very supportive or helpful and have always been very doom and gloom about things since I was diagnosed. I feel I have been written off medically and I simply cannot let this happen as I have too much to live for.

With any support I raise on this fundraiser I am looking to seek out second opinions, private treatment(options are better than on the NHS) and potentially travelling abroad for other treatment options.

The cost of a second opinion in the UK varies and can be between £250-600 per opinion. The cost of private treatment drugs can be upto £5000 per session and travelling abroad for treatment can cost thousands.

I was very reluctant to try this as don’t see myself as a charity case but really have no choice. I have to live for my wife and kids.. I have to be here for them.
