Needing a cheap car soon

I woke up this morning to the sight of a large tree sitting on top of my car. Due to being out of work because of the corona virus for over a month I have been completely unprepared for this financially and emotionally. I only have liability insurance on my car and the apt complex is refusing to accept any responsibility.
I was in the process of packing up my belongings and moving out of my apartment. Due to lack of work and the lease running out, my roommate and I have no choice but to move out. My rough plans were to sleep in my car for a while until i could save up enough money for a new place to live. Now that my car has been severely damaged by a large tree I cannot even do that. My life could very quickly fall apart during a time that has already been extremely difficult.
I was approved for unemployment but still have not received any payments or explanations a month and a half later. I will be getting a stimulus check but I am unsure as to how soon. I finally started work at walmart a few weeks ago but I haven't received my first check. My finances are in shambles, my car is probably beyond repair, and now I could lose my job.
I would like to raise money for a cheap car I can get fairly soon to keep my job and get back on my feet. I can use the bulk of my first check towards a car but I need a little help. $2,000 would be enough to help me find one. I am not looking for anything extravagant. I just need something soon that can get me to work so I can start to put my life back together. My roommate has bought us another month at the apartment. If I don't figure something out within two weeks I'm afraid I might end up on the streets and jobless.
It is hard for me to ask for help. I do not like to ask for help unless I really need it but all of this has been very humbling and has been an extreme struggle. I am facing homelessness for a short period of time but if I can acquire a car soon I can at least hold down a job make for a smoother transition out of this nightmarish situation. We are all going through trying times so and I have truely been touched by the help and kind words I have already received. If nothing else please share this with as many people as you can. I can not and will not give up. My precious daughter Lily is depending on me.
