Nikki's Homeless Fund

My name is Monique Whitley and I am raising money so that I will no longer be homeless.   I suffered a ruptured brain aneurysm and I was blessed to survive and be here to tell my story. due to this brain aneurysm I am unable to work and am truly struggling.   Any money received will go directly to pay the rent for a low income apartment or room and household bills. Let me first say that this is truly the hardest thing I have had to do is ask for help.    Unfortunately this set me back and wiped out my entire savings.  While I am good, happy and getting stronger every day I still struggle. I have been independent and on my own since I was 17 years old.  I have worked hard and have always tried to depend on no one.  I have always wanted to help and support my family but never burden them.   I am now swallowing my pride and saying I need a little help as I now find myself without a home of my own and am sleeping on couches. It is hard for someone like me to ask for help but I have finally accepted my limitations but I do have them.  I have had to file for disability due to my brain not functioning in a manner that would enable me to re join the work force.

I know that this is temporary and I have only been knocked down but I am slowly but surely lifting myself backup and I am asking for a little boost up which we all need from time to time.
