Need urgent help staying afloat while unemployed
Donation protected
I didn't want to resort to this, but it's getting really bad. My brother can only help me so much, but I'm still an additional disgrace away from losing all my savings and funds, being forced to leave my beautiful dog Chantal in the shelter again, and maybe ending up in the street or in my car.
I have looked for employment for months, but despite my qualifications, skills, and experience, no one in Houston thinks I'm worth anything at all. I also can't help but suspect ageism/discrimination has been a factor in employers not hiring me.
Texas is horrendous in public services, and government agencies (state and federal) are badly understaffed and extremely slow. It would take too long for me to get the help needed.
All I really need is some basic help for me and my dog (who is a rescue dog) to stay afloat and not go completely under. Food, living bills, pet care, just essentials while I keep looking for an employer that actually thinks my existence matters.
Any little contribution would be greatly appreciated.
