I was informed yesterday that since I have no kidney function, Medicare will not cover the stem cell transplant I need in order to get a kidney transplant. It is one of the stipulations in the Medicare guidelines that I need to have either stage 2 or 3 and I am at end stage renal failure so I don't qualify. Private insurance will not cover pre existing issues so my two choices are to ask for help or win the lottery. I'm really not one to ask. I'm usually the one helping but the tables have turned. I was told out of pocket cost is between $200000 and $500000 which I definitely don't have so here I am. If you can help great, I would most certainly appreciate it. If not, thats ok as well.
