Hi, my name is Sydney Steadman and as many of you know I am 27 years old and a mother to two precious young girls.

A couple years ago I lost my home to an illegal eviction and not knowing my rights. Since then I have lived in 3 homes and 3 AirBNB’s. Every single one of the homes had roommates (which is no place for kids) the first home we got kicked out of was on the day of Christmas and I was physically abused. The second home we got kicked out of was due to constant emotional and mental abuse. This third home were currently in has men that we do not feel physically, mentally or emotionally safe around and I’m scared that we’re at the place of being kicked out again.

This isn’t me begging for help, this is me crying for help. I would never ask people for help if I didn’t need it. This is humiliating to post, but my girls deserve a place to feel safe.

I have asked resource after resource with everything I can do and have done it. The shelters in my area are no place for kids to grow.

After learning my rights and realizing it was a wrongful conviction, all I want is a place for my kids to feel safe and comfortable. I don’t want to continue to switch schools for my kids. I want them to have a home to call their own where they can grow.

This money is to help me provide first and last for a home aswell as the U-Haul to trasport my things.

Anything helps, the girls and I appreciate this tremendously.
