I have a co-worker and great friend who is here working at my Company and is from Peru. They have had terrible news about their family in Peru in the last couple of months...one tragedy after another and could use all help available from anyone willing to give!
Right after my friend's Aunt and Uncle came down with Covid and fought for treatment as well as her cousin being seriously injured in an accident.......her Mom and Dad tested positive for Covid. While her mom is now recovering, her dad is still in ICU and being intubated. The Doctor's do not know how long he will be there as everyday is a challenge.
It has been an excruciating battle for her and her family not only emotionally being thousands of miles away from your sick parents but needing to pay so so much to get them the proper treatment they need to fight Covid.
Last week, my friend was granted a Humanitarian flight to Lima as the normal flights are not available due to the Pandemic and this is a super blessing as she can now be in Lima with her family! However, this traveling indefinitely from the US and double living expenses can be very expensive as well.
All the family and friends are helping in any way they can in getting/paying for Private care and now paying for long term ICU costs..but if you can assist ....whether in Prayer, Good vibes or monetary contributions, please let us know!
We are especially blessed here in the US as we can get Medical attention if needed always. Thank you for your consideration to help!
