Help Get Zach off the Streets!

I met Zakir Miah or Zach about 3 weeks ago while I was out sharing my faith. His story moved me deeply and now I’m asking for your help. Zach is a true survivor. As a child, he battled and overcame blood cancer, spending years in the hospital and being the sole survivor in his Hospital ward. During that time, he was introduced to Christianity in a church-based school and believed that Jesus had saved him.

But when he was discharged at the age of 11, his faith led to unimaginable pain. His parents, from a devout Muslim background, abused him relentlessly, trying to force him back to Islam. He endured beatings with metal rods, multiple bruises, scars, and even a stabbing on his right hand. Despite all this, he never abandoned his faith. Now, at 25, he was about to be forcibly sent to Bangladesh to marry a Muslim woman. Knowing this would end his faith, he ran from the airport and his ID and passport were stolen by his Dad.

This was 6 weeks ago. Since then Zach has been living homeless on the streets of London. His family have completely shunned him and his extended family is forbidden from even contacting him. Zach is alone, vulnerable and in desperate need.

This fundraiser is to help Zach get off the streets. We need funds for temporary hostel housing, food, toiletries - everything that allows him to survive each day. Zach is applying for housing benefits, but the process is slow, especially since his ID was taken. He has an appointment at the job center on March 31st and we need prayers and support for this crucial date. I’m also working on getting him a birth certificate to help his case, but right now, every bit of financial help matters.

Zach is small, his growth stunted by his illness and the streets have left him easy prey for harm. He's already been beating up and robbed multiple times while sleeping outside and has expressed thoughts of suicide. A safe place, even just temporary, could make all the difference. If you can give, please do. If not, please share widely and pray for him, for strength, for safety, and for a new beginning.

Thank you from the bottom of my heart.

(This gofundme is set up and managed by myself (Daniel Egwuekwe) but all proceeds go directly to Zach's account)
