We are Jeff and Claudia Santee, Mackenzie’s parents, and we’re trying to raise money to cover funeral and burial expenses. We are so sorry to say that Mackenzie passed aways on October 6. 2025. 

Mackenzie had just turned 21 and was diagnosed with osteosarcoma in her right leg. We had went on a two year journey to get integrative treatment which involved two months of treatment in Tijuana, followed by high dose chemo and a limb salvage surgery in the states. There was a reoccurrence of the cancer in her knee which led to an amputation of her right leg. After months physical therapy to learn how to walk with a prosthesis, there was a scan that showed a few small spots in her lungs. Four months later there was full blown metastasis, and the report from her oncologist that she had about six months to live.

We did everything we could to treat her with alternative therapies during this time but we’re unsuccessful. 

Mackenize was an amazing young lady who was studying to be a speech language pathologist. She was very smart, funny, had a big heart and was a joy to be around.

We have appreciated all of your financial help up to this point for all her medical treatments as well as your prayers.
