Hi my name is Michele and I am a local wildlife rehabber. Last week on my way to pick up an injured animal, my clutch went in my car. We have 2 cars but the other has been broken down for quite some time now. My car broke down on 84 and I had to get it off exit and left it at a gas station where they have since had it towed away. I reply on having a vehicle to be able to pick up and rehab injured wildlife throughout surrounding counties in NY and I also door dash to earn money to pay for the treatment of such animals. I am in desperate need of help, which I have a hard time asking for so that either I can get my car fixed if it's worth fixing once I can pay the tow company that has it or to purchase another beater car to be able to continue doing my wildlife rescue, taking care of our children and working. I know times are tough for everyone right now but I figured I would give this a try in hopes so people have a couple of dollars to spare. I have traveled hours to pick up animals when no one local was available and have to transport animals that I am not able to care for to other rehabbers who are. It is very difficult to be able to offer my services to people when I don't have a car to help out. Wildlife rescue is a licensed position but it is completely volunteer.

I also am trying to purchase a new used dryer for my rescue. I do lots of laundry due to bedding and such for injured ani als and my dryer has decided to quite working. I know there are laundromats but I do not feel it's in the best interest of other people using the machines to use them for these types of items.
