Need help to save stray puppies life

I don’t usually do this but I am asking for help. My very close friend, Amy, was in Southern Missouri last week to see a very sick family member and she came upon a stray puppy that had been dumped. He was emaciated and she could tell no one had been feeding him. The “people” who dumped the puppy didn’t even bother to remove his vet tag. Amy went to return him to his owners, thinking he was lost, but they said they didn’t want him and didn’t care what happened to him. Amy could not bring him home so her sick family member is holding him for her and the puppy was attacked by a pit bull.
Amy cannot get back down there due to personal reasons and her sick family member can no longer hold the puppy. He will be placed in a kill shelter.
We contacted an animal transport in that area and they want $610 to transport the puppy to NWI. We have raised $300 but are still in need of $310 by Friday. This really is a very sad situation and if she can just get him here he’ll have a loving home. I am asking if anyone would consider donating to raise the extra $310???? Anything would help.
