Coach needs help in this transitional phase

Dear community: friends, family, and those I’ve had the pleasure of building relationships with, I ask that you take a moment to read my rather lengthy message because I’m speaking from the heart.

Today, I find myself in a difficult situation. I have always had to be the strong one, in my family, in my friend circle, and to the youth in my community. I’ve warn this role as somewhat of a badge of honor. My heart has always been to help those in need. Those who know me know I go above and beyond for people but especially youth partially due to my personal experience with having a positive figure in my life. I understand the value of having someone in your corner to help push you, steer you in the right way, and offer all around support. As a result of my community I have dedicated my life to being that for others.

Though painful to remove my badge of honor, I must exercise humility and for the first time ask for support through this fundraiser. Over the past eight years, I have devoted my life to coaching, educating, and mentoring young people, which has fueled my passion for youth development. I relocated to Geneva for a full time role that complimented my part time role as an assistant basketball coach. I am so grateful for the opportunity but due to unforeseen circumstances that position is no longer available. It is with a heavy heart that I share I must move back to Rochester to be closer to family and secure my financial stability. Your help during this transition would mean the world to me! This would allow me the opportunity to continue supporting both myself and the community I cherish. Thank you for considering assisting me in this challenging time.
