Gustavo's medical expenses

My dad Gustavo Lara was one of the shooting victims from the Tequila KC bar shooting in KCK. He was shot in the shoulder, he is doing well right now. But, while in the hospital the doctors found a tumor on his kidney. His surgery is scheduled for Oct 28th. The hospital bills for the shooting are being covered by a "victims compensation fund. " He has Medicare but only part A. We are enrolling him for the Medicare he needs but it will not take effect for a while.  We have applied for financial assistance at the hospital but they said he has too much money because he owns property and has a little in savings.... I don't want him to worry about anything!! He needs to have an MRI done to see if the tumor has grown into the veins and the hospital is asking for $600 as a down payment or co-pay. I need him to heal and rest after he has this surgery so I'm asking for some help with his medical Bills. I would appreciate anything. But most of all I'm asking for prayers.
