ORIGINAL STORY:

Hello everyone. As tough as this is to write and post, I unfortunately have to because I don't have many options at the moment to help this situation.

I recently had to get surgery on my knee in February 23rd due to an acl tear I managed to also work with for a year and 4 months. I busted my butt training athletes and was able to keep money coming in to pay our bills. My wife was let go from her job she had for 8 years due to the complications of working there in the pandemic, having our second child, and her position being filled without notice. We planned and strategized to keep us afloat after my surgery for the next few months and I worked hard to get back to work after 6-8 weeks which I'm currently doing now.

All of a sudden bills have been hitting us very hard to now we are about to receive an eviction notice due to our rent not being paid in full. Thankfully we was receiving rental assistance at the time of the allowance and during my recovery, but recently all of the assistance that came yesterday went to back pay which wasn't fully covered. Now we're needing to pay past dues (which includes April) plus May's rent next week. We have exhausted all our funds recently paying most of April and things for work on my end start improving next month. I just started working again about a few weeks ago since I was able to walk.

Tomorrow we have to give them notice if we're not able to pay the full amount and if so they will give us a 3 days pay or quit. We was also told if we can give them a notice that we can't pay, that it would give us 30 days at least to move. We are currently preparing for two options for moving. One option is to possibly stay with our grandparent who is ill but POSSIBLY willing to help. The other option is to move with family in Alabama and start all over which is not easy either. We will be preparing for expenses and figure out what we will need and try to do it ourselves if we can.

All we are trying to do is get this paid and be able to work to pay what we need to for May. Our carnote is late as well since I've recovered more but we've been working with the company to help us pay it down. We are not asking for more than what we need to make sure we can work hard to make sure this doesn't happen again. Our babies love their home and so do we. As the provider of my family I have to humble myself to ask for help like this but to say I'm not ashamed in my heart would be lying. I was scared to get my surgery because I didn't know if this type of situation would happen but my wife and I was confident in our planning. I pushed to be able to walk well enough to get back to work but it wasn't fast enough. This just started out of nowhere and we are in need of whatever help anyone can provide.

Thank you all and all prayers are welcome. Hope everyone continues to have a blessed year either way!
