Need help after tornado disaster

Hi my name is Morgan and a little over a week ago over 30 tornadoes touched down across Alabama, Mississippi, Tennessee and Georgia along with many others.
This is an image of what our house looked like after an EF-2 tornado came through. There was no human loss of life at my home but we did lose two of our cats and one of our small dogs.
we do have home owner insurance but they’re saying it could take months for us to see a check from that. A lot of paperwork has to be done.
Meanwhile the Red Cross has set us up in a hot for 10 days. After those ten days we do t know where we’re going.
I own my own business and work from home and everything was destroyed along a was it’s many other things.
This just didn’t affect myself and my husband but it effected both my living parents who live with us because of failing health reasons. The big reason is my father has been in kidney failure for the past three years and now has gone into heart failure. Last fall my father and I were set up for surgery. I was going to be giving my father one of my kidneys just so that he could have more time with us here on earth. Giving him to chance to see me renew my vows and watch his grandchildren grow up.
Now we’re stuck between a very rock and a hard place. And through this all I have been working with one amazing author doing special items for her books and I reached out to tell her of what had happened and she responded saying that it goes to show how kind and a hard work that after going through this traumatic event that the one thing I was still worried about was getting her items made and shipped to her.
I never really felt that there was my kindness left in this world till I met this author. So if you have the time to read my story and help than god bless you and your family!
