For the last three years, beautiful Donna has been fighting a cunning and malignant squamous cell carcinoma wrapped around and near her right collarbone. It has grown onto and slightly into the right lobe of her lung and has partially and painfully dissolved the 1st and 2nd ribs nearby. As it grows it presses on the nerves in her right arm, shoulder, and neck area making any movement quite painful.
The spreading mass is inoperable as it lies too close to major arteries, nerves, and organs. Several months of chemo and radiation have not stopped the growth and she and her doctor are currently reviewing her best options.
She cannot drive or do the work she loves - helping people and serving as a mobile notary signing agent. She cannot sew advanced clothing projects for her 16-year old daughter, walk her dog, or continue her yoga practice. At this point her savings are dwindling, the medical bills are piling up, and her landlords are selling the house she has lived in for two years.
She needs financial help and she needs it now in order to relocate to a place that will accommodate her and her daughter and their dog. In addition to moving costs, she also needs money to pay bills, pay rent, buy food, support her daughter, and pay for personal medical care as she navigates the course of this cancer.
We as her longtime friends wish to bring her all the funds she needs to have the quality of life she deserves. She has spent a lifetime helping people both outwardly and in humble and anonymous ways. Her bright spirit has lifted many, and now we wish to brighten her spirits by collecting whatever donations you are moved to give.
