I created this gofundme to financially help my mom, Leslie Infante. We are really in need of help!!! It’s really hard for me to reach out for help. I am used to being able to figure it out. WE NEED $1600 THIS MONTH just to make it into next month. This barely scratches the surface.

I am exhausted and am in need of emergency financial help. I am have been just trying to get our lives back since she went to the hospital two years ago without the financial stress added to it.

She needs to see doctors. We have a roof we need to put on this summer as well or we lose our insurance. There are a variety of things around the house that need fixing too. Our credit card got maxed out and we can no longer use it. It's tens of thousands of dollars in debt.

Two years ago my mom was rushed to the hospital where she was diagnosed with an aggressive form of uterine cancer. She had a full hysterectomy, and survived the extreme side effects of chemotherapy and radiation. This has been the scariest time of my life. My mom means the world to me. I could have lost her. There were so many delays but through a whole series of blessings and miracles, she made it. Nonetheless she still needs to see a variety of doctors to aid in her recovery.

I am her only daughter, Marisa Infante and have been by her side as her caretaker and doing my best to not only care for my mom but also keep us afloat for the last two years as well as keep up on everything else: from cleaning and feeding her, to cleaning the house, changing her bed, doing laundry, paying the bills and keeping up on yard work just enough so that I can get my car out of the driveway without overgrown fruit tree limbs from falling on it. She lost her business during the pandemic and her illness.

I have been trying so hard to just get us over the hump. Despite reaching out to a wide variety of charity’s and organizations, it is just not enough. I have been working hard to be in a better financial space so she can just focus on healing and I in turn can get some much needed rest but it just hasn’t quite happen yet. Her recovery has been really slow and I have needed to stay by her side to do everything. I had a number of different things set up to bring in money, from selling our extra car to working but more than one thing fell through, didn’t work out or has been delayed. Between the stress of everything, I have lost almost 50 lbs. I’m tired.

Two years ago I reached out for financial help and everyone’s contribution big or small have significantly helped us get to this point!! Now we just need help getting back on our feet. I am so thankful for the love and support. I am also beyond thankful to announce that her last CT scan came back clean!! That is one year of no cancer. However, she cannot work right now because she is still healing from a wide variety of side effects from the chemotherapy and radiation. It affected her mental and physical capabilities, so I have been doing the best I can to make it to this point. I know this has been a rough time for so many, so I appreciate any size contribution. It all adds up and will really help us move forward. My heart goes out to those who are or have gone through any type of cancer. I am so thankful for your presence in my life too and your help and wisdom. Thank you for everyone’s continued support to help my mom fully recover. I so appreciate it.
