Hello All,
I trust all is well with you and yours.
My name is Rob. I have Parkinson's and was diagnosed back in 2017 with early onset PD (usually most people get it at 65 or older). I was 56. I was diagnosed fully disabled in 2018. I have been living with this debilitating disease for nine years.
My wife, Elvie, is my caregiver and she does most of the major chores for my care daily. Additionally, my condition requires another part time caregiver who handles other household chores including
Mobility Assistance, Hygiene Maintenance and Personal Upkeep. Driving duties are performed by him as well.
I come to you today with a humble plea for assistance during this most difficult time.
My wife and I are on fixed income and have been on it since 2014. We realize how difficult it is financially for most of us currently and to make it requires resources we are not accessible to.
We lost our house of 35 years due to lost wages, late payments and medical bills and had to move out to a small apartment. We became worried and went through times of depression and loss. Fortunately, up to today our Lord has granted us many people in our lives who helped physically, emotionally, spiritually and kept us somewhat afloat.
As we say, " to God be the glory"!
My wife will be undergoing surgery in two weeks for breast cancer and will be recovering another two weeks thereafter. I have requested for assistance from social services and other public sectors for financial and other philanthropic assistance. We are coming down to bare wire as they say.
Everyday brings forth tears of pain and joy.....
