Need a new wheelchair for mom.
My mother, as most of our friends and family already know, has been diagnosed with ALS for a little over two years. She is completely wheelchair bound and has no ability to support her own neck and head.
Until now we have been able to make due using wheelchairs that have been donated or loaned to us through various medical supply programs. But as she continues to lose weight and muscle control it became apparent that we needed a chair that better fits her body and provides more neck support.
Although we keep her moving as best we can through range of motion and massage therapy, she does spend up to 18 hours a day in her chair. She deserves to be comfortable! Any donations would be tremendously appreciated and will go a long ways toward providing comfort into my mother’s everyday life.
