Need a lifter to get me off the floor when I fall
Donation protected
I have Secondary Progressive Multiple Sclerosis. Diagnosed in 2007. It was stable till 2012 when I had a relapse, then another in 2017 leaving me with a disability EDSS of 6.5 (7.0 is wheelchair bound).
My poor balance results in falls. Last night I could not get off the couch, my wife laid a blanket on the ground and I slept there. This morning I didn't have the strength to get back on my feet. My wife isn't strong enough to life me herself, my 2 boys are too little. I had to call my 83y/o father in law and between him and my wife I was lifted into my wheel chair.
I have applied for the NDIS and am still awaiting approval, but need to purchase a lifter now. Obviously we don't have the money so here I am. If I can fund the money and buy a lifter now, once I get the NDIS funding, if im allowed I will donate the money I got for the lifter to MS Australia Research.
