Need A Helping Paw
Donation protected
Hello Friends and Adopters,
I adopted a beautiful 3-year-old, 50-pound, Catahoula/Shepherd mixed dog this summer to a sweet young couple from Brooklyn. He is their first dog.
His name is Max. He had a rocky beginning as he had a strange infection that just was not healing. We did everything possible in Georgia and he appeared to be making progress. He arrived in Brooklyn in mid August 2020.
Ever since he arrived, Max has been at the vet nonstop, trying numerous medications and procedures. All of these efforts have lead to exceptionally high vet bills. This is no way to start a new life with your first pup. We have recently
been informed that the next step is for Max to have a CT scan and surgery in the emergency room to clear the infected area.
I have a favor/plea for all my friends and adopters who know my rescue; if you can donate a small amount, it would help with this pending $5,000+ surgical bill. All funds will go directly to Max’s surgery. Once we reach the goal, I will call off the fundraising. I would be so grateful for your support. Max is having surgery on Wednesday October 28. I will give an update on the results to all.
Love,
Jennifer
For those interested, I have included some information from Max’s loving adopters.
“Max is the most gentle and loving dog we could have ever asked for! Many people told us that it might take a new dog time to adjust to his new home. Not Max. It seemed as if he knew he was immediately safe and proceeded to give us kisses on our first ride home. So far, we have learned that Max loves to go on car rides, get endless belly/butt rubs, and eat all the peanut butter he can get with his adorable puppy eyes. If you are not careful, you might notice a sock missing or him right under your feet because he always wants to be with you. We want to give Max the best life he deserves and make him as happy as he has made us.”
