Need MORE assistance with temporary housing

My name is Erika Bear Banwell. I am a massage therapist, vibrational sound healer, Reiki practitioner, and an animal healer. I had been preparing for a move across the country to start a new life and it was put on temporary hold due to a traumatic finger injury which led to an amputation. I was fortunate enough to have kind people around me to help finish the packing of the truck, take me to and from the hospital, clean for me, cook for me, and give me a place to lay my head. However life goes on for everyone and I had to find new temporary accommodations during my healing from my second surgery. Thanks to many generous donations, I received the help to stay in the Palm Springs area (where the hand specialist was). Once given the green light by the surgeon (though a pale green as I had and still have much healing to do) I drove from California to Western North Carolina with three cats in tow, making it in two weeks. Upon arrival I moved in to a previously organized living situation meant to house us until I found a house to buy. We had agreed on a month-to-month lease since my plan was to buy. One week after I moved in he stated that I was welcome to stay as long as I liked, however, two days later he informed me that he was giving the space to a relative August 1st.

As with most everywhere in the country it is very difficult to find housing, much less affordable housing. I have been unsuccessful thus far and will be staying in an RV until I find something better. At least we will have a roof over our heads, but money is running out as I haven't really had any income since mid-April.

I have been, and continue to, search for any kind of work I can do with two restricted hands. I plan to massage again but that won't happen for at least another 5 weeks as I recently broke a finger on my "good" hand and cannot do physical work.

My increasing depression and anxiety over my traumatic injury and the events that have followed are keeping me from doing the job that I was hired to do once I arrived. I am incredibly saddened that I am not as strong as I thought I was and am having to come to terms with knowing that my journey involves taking many steps backwards.

I am reaching out once again to ask for any assistance with helping pay for the living accommodations for myself and my three wayward kitty cats.
