My own daughter Pollyanna was sadly born with meningitis and we all had a very rough first week of her life , involving special care baby units , drips , tests and the very scary lumbar puncture procedure . We however were one of the lucky ones and we now have a very healthy 6 year old with no lasting health issues , some families are sadly not so lucky
