Ned is Gerry and Shannon's five-year-old son. Ned was flown to Miami Children's Hospital where he will stay for at least 5 days of testing and treatment for a chronic kidney condition. Thankfully Ned has excellent insurance. Unfortunately the hospital is three hours away from home. The family needs support for food, transportation and lodging during this and (possible) future hospital stays.

I have known Gerry for several years. If you do, then you already know that he has a heart of gold and would gladly give you the shirt off his back. I literally had to coerce him into letting me start this fundraiser. When I suggested it, his response was, "There are people with greater needs." Like I said, heart of gold.

Gerry and Shannon just moved into their first house together, and less than 24 hours after the big move, Ned started experiencing symptoms of his illness. Later that night Ned was med-evaced to Miami Children's Hospital to receive treatments for blood clots. Five-year-olds and hospitals don't mix, and Gerry, Shannon, and other family members are doing their best to be with him around the clock. That means missing shifts at work, meals out, spending the night in a hospital chair, etc. My goal is to make this time just a little bit easier for them.

More than anything else, Gerry and Shannon want your prayers. Please pray for Ned to be fully healed. Pray for their other children during this difficult time.
