Hello my Facebook family and friends. Look at my picture. This is my significant other, my rock Arnulfo (Arnold) Yglecias. If you know him from school or seen him on the baseball field either behind the plate calling strikes or even running the base making sure the runners are safe or out. On February 23, he was driving back home after calling some baseball games. Only to have an accident. Air bags deployed to his face. Causing server bleeding from his nose. Two weeks later he had surgery to cauterize some blood vessels only to find some loose cartilage. It was removed along with some soft tissue. It was then that they did a biopsy and discovered loose tissue, loose cartilage and two tumors. We were sent to a specialist at Scott and White in Temple. That was when they discovered the Arnold had an aggressive cancer in his nose on the bone and the cartilage. This cancer is Invasive Poorly Differentiated Squamous Cell carcinoma. They immediately scheduled surgery for May 22 only to discover the Dr moved the surgery to May 2, only to remove all of his nose except for the nostrils. Dr feels that he got all the cancer but we are waiting for the pathology report. We were informed that reconstruction of his nose would be like months and months down the road. After having surgery again to remove all packing and to have it replaced again. A team of doctors informed us that the reconstruction of the nose will be next Friday May 17. We have had friends and families sending prayers everyday. When we received the great new we said "God is Good". I know that not a lot of people are aware of what we are going through with this big word that starts with a "C" it's a nasty word that affects anyone. Arnold is a big fan umpiring of college and high school baseball. This part of his career has come to a stop because of this "C" word. This has stopped all his income but with Pet Scans, CT scans, MRI's . Dr appointments surgeries has been very costly. So I am setting up this Gofundme to help him because with the up coming surgeries (at least) 4 more to come and hospital stays and then we have Chemo and Radiation to follow. With all this coming up this will not be good financially. So please have a heart and help him with this fundraiser. You just don't realize what can happen to you until a life threatening part of life hits home .
