Hello Reader,
My name is Bri and I am a wife, mother, miniature painter, tabletop crafter, and gamer. My husband, Jon, is a father, Umpire, Referee, Game Master, and disabled Marine Corps Veteran. Between us, we have an 18 (almost 19) year-old daughter who is living on her own, an eight (almost nine) year-old daughter, and a son who is due to be born in January 2023.
We currently need help funding the demolition and/or reconstruction of our new home. To make a long story short, we lost our previous house earlier this year. With an immense amount of help from Jon’s parents, Ken and Debi, we have found our forever home. We started light interior demolition ourselves earlier this year, but after bringing in contractors (and inspectors) to do what we could not, it has been determined that the house is so far from ‘code’ that it will be cheaper (and safer) in the long run to completely demolish and rebuild.
With the unexpected news of rebuilding came the unexpected price that was set before us. We have been leaning heavily (and I mean heavily) on Ken and Debi for help, but unfortunately, it is not enough. Ken, who was happily retired is trying to go back to work to help us and the two of them have sacrificed so much already, including the time they have spent trying to find any other help and resources. We appreciate everything they have done and continue to do for us and I’m not sure how we will ever fully express our gratitude, but we are starting by trying to find more help where we can.
We are using this GoFundMe to ask you to help in any way you can. All donations will be used toward our new home, whether it be demolition, reconstruction, permanent fixtures, and/or appliances. We will also post updates on our GoFundMe page as they are available so you can keep up with the progress of the house along with us. I would also like to come up with a creative way to thank every one of you (and everyone who helped/helps in other ways) in the end, so please let me know if you have any cool ideas.
Even if you cannot help, thank you for at least taking the time to read this, we still appreciate you! Also, if you have any questions, please do not hesitate to ask.
