Reaching out to all of our friends, family and community to help Brian’s brother Ned if you are able. Two years ago, Ned Cofer was diagnosed with stage 4 Melanoma cancer in his back. After many surgeries and complications, Ned wasn’t able to work any longer. He applied for disability and was approved. A year ago, disability stated now that he’s had his surgeries etc. he could go back to work and no longer required disability and discontinued it. However, the doctors said that is not the case. While battling with disability, Ned went in last week for his yearly check up, at which time, he was told it is back and has spread to his brain. In the coming weeks, doctors are going to perform a surgery on his brain to attempt to remove the cancer.
I really do not know anyone that the horrible “C” word has NOT affected. I personally know the financial hardships it can bring to a family after taking care of my father almost 20 years ago. You are going from one appointment to the next just waiting to know the outcome. Getting so caught up in that days appointments that either you don’t eat because you have no energy to or you forget to. Of course the medical bills are just piling up and you still need to pay the power bill, water bill, and mortgage. If there’s any left you might be able to buy groceries. All of this, just so you can keep the roof over your head for just a while longer. Having walked in those shoes... that’s the last thing on your mind as you are just thinking of what you can do for your loved one to make it better?? Even if it’s just for one more hour or day.
I ask first that you pray for Ned & Debbie Cofer. They have both been through so much already and have a much longer road ahead of them. Second, if you are financially able, please donate what you can. Anything would be extremely appreciated. All donations will go toward medical and living expenses to help relieve the burden off of them.
Brian and I would like to thank you in advance for your prayers and generosity.
Love & Prayers!
