Hola, me llamo David Victoria, tengo 27 años, soy fotógrafo deportivo y he perdido mi medio de transporte con el que me gano la vida.

Este lunes 28 recibo la visita de mis padres, que vienen desde Cartagena (Murcia) a una revisión médica de mi padre. Mi pareja y yo fuimos al Jysk de Alfafar para comprar un colchón inflable y un par de sábanas el martes 29. Cuando recibimos la alerta a las 8 estábamos en el parking y ya veíamos como el agua salía de las alcantarillas y no paraba de subir hasta que al final, nos llegó hasta los tobillos.

En esa situación de supervivencia con una riada que no paraba de crecer, buscamos refugio en el sitio más cercano más elevado posible, cruzamos con el agua por la cintura al Media Markt de Alfafar. Allí pudimos pasar la noche a duras penas con otras 20 personas en lo que el agua subía y subía sin parar hasta que llegó a los 2 metros de alto. Se fue la luz y el agua corriente y el objetivo fue sobrevivir. Menos mal que había algo de embutido del personal y pudimos sobrevivir todos. Mientras pasaba esto e intentábamos mantener la calma, mi coche fue arrastrado por la riada y además, los muebles de la tienda de al lado lo destrozaron por completo.

Al día siguiente, desde el tejado localicé el coche en la puerta de al lado. Estaba todo embarrado y la escena era totalmente apocalíptica. Las imágenes hablan por sí solas... A duras penas pudimos salir de allí y tuvimos que volver andando. De camino vimos saqueos, incendios, coches apilados y gente que lo había perdido todo.

Es un coche al que le tenía cariño. Lo compré en octubre de 2022, lo mantenía junto con mi hermano para tenerlo en las mejores condiciones posibles. Era un Honda Civic 1.8 gasolina de 2007 y gracias a él siempre he podido ir a los circuitos y poco a poco levantar mi empresa, con las dificultades que eso ya tiene de por sí. Lo compré buscando fiabilidad y es lo que he tenido 2 años y 40.000 kilómetros después. Tras contactar con el seguro, nos dan un plazo de 3 meses para la resolución y en el caso hipotético de que lo acepten, solo nos darían el valor venal del vehículo que son unos 1.800 euros mientras que este coche en el mercado se vende por unos 6.000€ o 7.000€.

En enero de 2023 inicié mi propia empresa, junto con mi mejor amiga de la universidad y juntos fundamos MayDave Media , una agencia de medios. Como amantes de las carreras que somos, nos dedicamos a hacer fotografía y vídeos de carreras de coches, trabajando en karting, Fórmula 4 y otros eventos de esta característica.

Estando en nuestra segunda temporada y creciendo con mucho esfuerzo y mucho sudor, nos hemos quedado sin vehículo con el que ir a trabajar a los circuitos. Con el coche vamos a los circuitos y cargamos todo el equipo que necesitamos para poder cubrir los eventos y sin él, simplemente no podemos trabajar y por tanto, no podemos cobrar ni pagar el alquiler.

Pido ayuda a toda la gente que quiera apoyar a un negocio local, dos jóvenes que nos intentamos ganar la vida trabajando de lo que hemos estudiado y solo queremos seguir trabajando, mejorando y prosperar poco a poco día a día.

El dinero donado se usará para volver a conseguir un coche y se distribuirá de la siguiente forma:

Antes de nada si has llegado hasta aquí, mil gracias por tu tiempo. Sé que en estos casos la voluntad de ayudar de las personas es lo único que realmente puede hacer fuerza y conseguir revertir situaciones así. Pido ayuda para poder volver a la actividad y aunque sé que mi caso en comparación a otros más graves puede no ser prioritario, sabed que toda donación me llegará a mi en persona y estaréis ayudando a un pequeño negocio de una persona que solo quiere seguir ganándose la vida.

Doy gracias por haber podido sobrevivir. Un abrazo y mucho ánimo a toda la gente afectada como yo y mi más sincero pésame a todas las víctimas. En cuanto pueda volver a la actividad económica ayudaré todo lo que pueda a los casos que conozco.

Hello, my name is David Victoria, I am 27 years old, I am a sports photographer and I have lost my mean of transportation with which I earn my living.

This Monday 28th I receive the visit of my parents, who come from Cartagena (Murcia) to a medical examination of my father. My girlfriend and I went to Jysk in Alfafar to buy an inflatable mattress and a couple of sheets on Tuesday 29th. When we received the alert at 8 o'clock we were in the parking lot and we could already see how the water came out of the sewers and did not stop rising until it finally reached our ankles.

In this situation of survival with a flood that did not stop growing, we sought shelter in the nearest place as high as possible, we crossed with the water around our waists to the Media Markt of Alfafar. There we were able to spend the night with 20 other people while the water rose and rose non-stop until it reached 2 meters high. The power and running water went out and the goal was to survive. Thank goodness there was some sausage from the staff and we were all able to survive.While this was happening and we were trying to keep calm, my car was got dragged away by the flood and the furniture from the store next door completely destroyed my car.

The next day, from the roof I located the car next door. It was all muddy and the scene was totally apocalyptic.The power and running water went out and the goal was to survive. Thank goodness there was some sausage from the staff and we were all able to survive. The pictures speak for themselves.... We barely made it out of there and had to walk back. On the way we saw robberies, fires, cars on top of eachother and people who have lost everything.

It is a car I was very fond of. I bought it in October 2022, I kept it together with my brother to have it in the best possible condition. It was a 2007 Honda Civic 1.8 gasoline and thanks to it I have always been able to go to the circuits and gradually raise my company, with the difficulties that already has in itself. I bought it looking for reliability and that is what I have had 2 years and 40,000 kilometers later. After contacting the insurance, they give us a period of 3 months for the resolution and in the hypothetical case that they accept it, they would only give us the insurance estimation value of the vehicle which is about 1,800 euros while this car on the market is sold for about 7,000 euros or 8,000 euros.

In January 2023 I started my own company, together with my best friend from college together we founded MayDave Media, a media agency. As racing lovers we are, we are dedicated to making car racing photography and videos, working in karting, Formula 4 and other events of this type.

Being in our second season and growing with a lot of effort and a lot of sweat, we have run out of a vehicle with which to go to the circuits to work. The car is our tool to go to the tracks and load all the equipment we need to be able to cover the events. Without it, we simply can't work and therefore, we can't earn money or pay the rent.

I ask for help to all the people who want to support a local business, two young people who are trying to make a living working in what we have studied and we just want to keep working, improving and prospering little by little day by day.

The money donated will be used as follows:

First of all, if you have come this far, thank you very much for your time. I know that in these cases people's willingness to help is the only thing that can really make a difference and reverse situations like this. I ask for help to be able to return to the activity and although I know that my case in comparison to others more serious may not be a priority, know that any donation will reach me in person and you will be helping a small business of a person who just wants to continue earning a living.

I am thankful that I was able to survive. A hug and lots of encouragement to all the people affected like me and my sincere condolences to all the victims. As soon as I can return to the economic activity I will help as much as I can to the cases I know.
