Everyone Has a Story to Tell

Our mom died when we were 11 (Molly) and 21 (Jessie) by domestic violence. It was like a lifetime movie-a barely adult dropping out of college to raise a preteen. Neither of us having a clue how to move forward but we did it!
Years after she died, while going through the things we had carefully packed away, Jessie found a manila envelope containing 8 children’s stories and their respective cover letters, which we assume she was planning to send to publishers.
We don’t know what happened along the way, why she tucked them away for so long or if she actually ever sent them off to New York! What we do know is she loved us, and life didn’t go the way she had planned. In our own efforts to heal and continue to feel connected to her we have adopted her dream.
We truly believe that everyone has a story to tell, a voice that deserves to be heard, including her, and quite frankly-US. We have a wild dream to publish these books, we have no clue what we are doing and the road seems daunting honestly, but we are here for it.
We need funds to edit, illustrate, and publish these books and in so doing we hope to spread hope and light and healing along the way.
xo,
the DREAM team.
