Neath Schools Rugby has a proud tradition of developing young players and giving them opportunities to represent their schools and community. For many of these boys and girls, this is their first experience of competitive rugby, and it plays a vital role in building confidence, discipline, teamwork and a lifelong love of the game.

Behind the scenes, however, the reality is challenging. Neath Schools Rugby operates on an extremely limited budget and is almost entirely self funded. We receive just £500 per year from the WSRU to run our squad, which has to stretch across equipment, training, fixtures and general running costs. Coaches and volunteers already give their time freely to keep the programme alive, but financially there is very little support available.

Our current shipping container, which we rely on to store all of our equipment, is now dilapidated and beyond repair. It is no longer weatherproof, meaning essential kit is at real risk of damage. Replacing worn or damaged equipment simply isn’t something we can afford, making this situation increasingly urgent.

We have a secure location ready and waiting for a replacement container, but we do not have the funds to purchase one. This container is not a “nice to have”, it is critical to the day to day running of Neath Schools Rugby. Without safe storage, it becomes far harder to deliver training sessions, organise fixtures and ensure our players have the equipment they need to take part safely.

By supporting this fundraiser, you are directly helping to protect vital equipment, sustain grassroots rugby in Neath and ensure young people continue to have access to sport, structure and positive role models. Every donation, no matter the size, and every share of this page, genuinely makes a difference.

Thank you for taking the time to read our story and for any support you are able to give. Your help will play a direct role in keeping Neath Schools Rugby running and supporting the next generation of players!
