Nearer to Thee (short film)

Nearer To Thee is a surrealist film noir in which Detective Wallis, worn down by his job, stumbles into a mysterious diner late at night. Seeking solace in a cup of coffee, he encounters a mysterious waitress who seems to know more about him than she should. Time begins to unravel as he finds himself returning to the same booth, the same cup of coffee, and surrounded by the same unsettling patrons.

Each encounter in the diner hints at a deeper connection to Wallis' past, leading him to a chilling realization: he’s not just visiting the diner— he’s trapped in it.

This is a graduation film made by students, its serves as a unique learning experience as well as a chance to showcase our knowledge and create a calling card for our entry into the industry.
