Debbie Lapray has been battling multiple chronic illnesses since having two heart attacks in 2019, COPD and heart failure, requiring her husband Neal to care for her full time. These are costly illnesses and require multiple hospitalizations a year. This past July, Neal was diagnosed with MDS (myelodysplastic syndrome) a rare type of blood cancer that can quickly progress to AML (Acute Myeloid Leukemia). Currently he is undergoing blood transfusions weekly, alongside chemo treatments. They are having to travel 100 miles round trip for every Dr visit, since the oncologists are not local. This disease is not curable without a Stem Cell Transplant, which would take place in Denver, Co which is about 8 hours from their home. The transplant is very risky and will take several months. Saleea may have to take time off of her job to care for her mother, while her father fights for his life. Their daughter Saleea has been their sole caregiver, providing meals, transportation and financial help to cover medications and home expenses, which are starting to take a toll on the whole family. One of the prescriptions Debbie needs is $600 a month, that’s just one of many. We ask that if you are able, please donate, all of the donations will go directly to the Lapray family for travel expenses, medical expenses and medication costs. If you can’t donate we ask that you please share this so that others may have the chance to help. Thank you for taking the time to read, share and donate!
