What the funds will be used for?
We (spearheaded by Victoria Yeager) are writing the script, organizing the footage, doing a little more research and filming, then a rough cut: $200,000.00.
Panther Branch is the name of the holler where Grandpa Yeager's house was.
We are trying to complete the documentary of General Chuck Yeager's life from birth through World War II when he became a hero - was shot down over France, worked with the French Underground, escaped the Nazis into Spain, argued up the chain of command to General Eisenhower to prevent his being sent home. Yeager got back on combat and became an ace in a day.
Who will benefit?
Students and the public will benefit. There are many life lessons in General Yeager's history.
How soon do we need the funds?
Now. The sooner we raise the funds, the sooner we can review all the footage and assemble it. We are already researching some more.
What the support means to us:
The support will mean a great deal to those of us who so appreciate all that General Yeager has done for his country and the world. General Yeager is a true American hero and patriot who has dedicated his life to his country.
