My name is Molly Sullivan and I am raising money for my sister Noelle Sullivan. Noelle was diagnosed with breast cancer at the young age of 31 on 2/23/15. This was quite the shock, to say the least, to her and everyone that loves her- as her life has been completely turned upside down. Most young mothers have enough stress in their daily life of raising a young child, and this scary diagnoses of invasive cancer into this mix of daily life is quite overwhelming.
Noelle will start chemotherapy in a week or so, and then follow that with a mastectomy, maybe double mastectomy, and possible removal of the ovaries. Chemotherapy is needed due to the type of rare aggressive cancer that she has- often times cells will remain even after a mastectomy. This will be an incredibly scary ordeal for her to go through, and for all of us who love her, including her young son Julian.
Over the next few months, depending on how she feels during chemo Noelle most likely will not be able to work at all. Her job does not offer any sick pay, so she will be losing all of her income. She completely supports herself and her young son Julian, and will need money raised by all of us to help out with daily living expenses, and with some out of pocket medical costs. We’re unsure exactly how long chemotherapy treatment will last, but in cases similar to hers, the first round generally lasts 3-6 months.
Please consider helping alleviate some of this stress and worry that has been placed in Noelle’s life. I want to make sure we raise this money so that she doesn’t have to worry about bills and living expenses while she is not working and dealing with such a scary life threatening disease.
We appreciate all of the outpouring of love that you all have given so far to Noelle. It really gives her strength and hope! Please keep up the kind sentiments and notes. If you know Noelle, you know she has the kindest of hearts, and is a sensitive soul that needs a little help right now, and is so appreciative of anything that you can offer.
