We are all deeply saddened by the news that Dr. Johnnie Davis passed very suddenly on the morning of Thursday October 12. Johnnie was a loving husband, father, son, brother, and friend. He had an exceptionally positive spirit that radiated throughout any room he walked into. He will be truly missed and forever loved.
Johnnie was born in Gadsen, AL and raised in Jackson, MS. He earned a Bachelors degree from Florida A&M University and Masters and Doctorate degrees from the University of Florida. He worked at the USDA and the EPA before moving to Cincinnati and joining Procter & Gamble. At P&G, he was a great mentor and colleague to many. He was also a very active member of the African Ancestry Community, often opening up his home to host community events.
Johnnie is survived by his wife, Shanae, and five children: Ethan, Lovely, Josh, Aeirys, and Autumn.
This campaign was established to provide support for the children. All proceeds will go towards creating a fund in the children’s names. Thank you Brittany Huggins ([email redacted]) for helping pull this Campaign together.
