The above is me as a young gay boy growing up in Northeast Oklahoma. I grew up in a time and town in which LGBTQ representation and pride were unheard of.

Too many of us came out in times and towns without representation, understanding and education around LGBTQ history and pride. And that absence has led to violence, bullying, depression and suicide for so many of our friends.

BUT THINGS ARE CHANGING!!!

Thanks to the bravery and drive of a handful of activists and allies, Northeast Oklahoma will have its first-ever Pride Festival ️‍

But, they need your help. The budget is $2330 total. And we are seeking sponsors for the following:

1. Doggie Drag Show: $50
2. Drag Performers and Entertainment: $350
3. Stage: $500
4. DJ: $330
5. Bleachers: $50
6. Local Band [Poloroid Panda]: $250
7. Runway Contest: $100
8. Games: $100
9. Bounce House: $300
10. Dunk Tank: $100
11. Kids Face Painting: $100
12. Drag Make-up: $100

The amazing local team has raised $1330 to date. We only need another $1600 to pull this festival off.

Even though I don't live in Oklahoma anymore, it is very much home. And a Pride Festival would have meant a great deal to the young boy in the photo above.
