Hello, this is Dawn, Rory's wife, as most of you know Rory suffered a stroke on 9/26/2021.

Thankfully he is showing great strides in recovery, still has a several hurdles ahead as we deal with the reason for the stroke ,as it was caused by him being in heart failure.

Right now he is receiving excellent care in a local Rehabilitation Center and is expected to be released in time to spend Thanksgiving at home He will be able to continue outpatient rehab 2 or 3 times a week for the near future.

Last year he battled his cancer after 9+ months of Chemo to be "officially" considered in remission.

Which of course did weaken his heart, we still have several more appointments and upcoming tests to determine the best course of treatment for his heart,we should have a definite game plan on that around Christmas time /New Years.

Right now we are asking for assistance with the increase in medical costs, we are very fortunate that we have a wonderful medical plan but with the upcoming co-pays , deductibles, and the increase in pharmacy costs any assistance will be appreciated.

Rory's long term goal is to get back to work in some concept, even part time as he greatly misses his US Retail/ Pet Supplies Plus family, just as soon as possible and to be able to drive again,as he had been looking forward to teaching both his young teen daughters how to drive.

He has come so far with the cancer fight. Please help us fight this next battle.
