Young's medical expenses
Donation protected
On May 6th, a tragedy happened to our mom, Young (Anna) Han. She suffered from a hemorrhagic stroke and was rushed to Fair Oaks INOVA, where they declared she needed to be moved to Fairfax Hospital for surgery. The surgery was to remove a piece of her skull in order for the brain to expand due to irritability. She is expected to stay in the intensive care unit for 7–10 days, then move to another hospital bed for a week, and then rehab for however long she needs.
We already lost our dad in August of last year due to a heart attack, and since then everything's been very different and difficult. We miss him every day. After the loss of our family pillar, we’ve been working hard to recover and heal, and now another family pillar has fallen, and it literally crumbles our world. Our mom is so full of life and works extra hard to keep our family operable and to raise my 17-year-old younger sister for education. My mom has religiously gone to church and devoted her whole life to her church and faith in God.
We are mom’s two daughters, Dahee (Kourtney) and Heejin (Ivy) Han, and with deep sadness, we are seeking your help for our mom’s long road of recovery. We would appreciate any help we can get with the medical bills. The average cost of stroke medical bills and rehabilitation is relatively high ($40,000–80,000, maybe more). In our prayers for a full recovery, having less financial burden will help our family. We know we are all living through difficult times, but even the smallest donation can make a big difference for us. Thank you for reading.
