Mom's Medical Needs

Hey Everyone, my name is Danielle and I am Sherry's daughter. My mom has been battling cancer for 4 years, that she has been aware of and 2 years beforehand she was battling severe anemia, later found out to be stage IV colon cancer. She's been sick for 6 years and has been so strong, as all cancer patients are. These last few weeks she has been her worst. Her abilities to move around and take care of herself as she always has, have suffered extremely. For those who know her she hasn't "looked" sick to most and was often told she didn't look sick or that she looked great for having cancer. As back handed as that may sound, it's true, most just don't know how to express what they see. She has been very strong, with a great appetite, and willingness to go about life as if nothing was wrong. We have had many adventures to concerts, to the beach, and to many, many restaurants because food is one of our love languages. This has all went away for her in these last few weeks. She does not leave her new home and can barely get from one room to another. The medical expenses I am asking for help with are expenses such as a motorized wheel chair and funds to make her home more accessible for her. I am consulting with Medicare on most things but they do not cover everything and require extensive paperwork and doctors visits that she cannot always attend due to her overall weakness and pain level. The goal I have set is to get things started. I am waiting on my sign-on bonus as we have also just moved to the central Illinois area and still getting settled into our home and jobs. I want to take care of her and give her the best. She deserves to get out of the house and see a few more things in life, even if it's just going to the local lake with her grandchildren.
The drastic change is due to a bowel obstruction, which was deemed inoperable today. Her care team has spoke of palliative and hospice care. Which one depends on how severe things become and how quickly. This is what has sparked the sudden outreach for help.
Anything is greatly appreciated. I know we are all struggling these days and I am grateful for everything, prayers and positive vibes included.
